Phra That Doi Pu Khao

Just two kilometers away from Chiang Saen Lake finds Phra That Doi Pu Khao, a riverside temples believed to be built by a king of Wiang Hirannakhon Ngoen Yang in the middle of the 8th century. However, the chapel and crumbled stupas are the only remaining antiquities left to date. Its geographical location on a hill right before the Golden Triangle allows spectacular views of the river, mountains, and Golden Triangle.
