Ready to live your idyllic lifestyle again? Thailand is now reopened, it’s time for you to travel!

Thailand is one of the most popular cities for tourists to visit in the world. Getting to Thailand can be a journey of discovery and you’ll be amazed of just how many adventures more to hit and how beautiful this country really is! After a successfully run a “Phuket Sandbox” program ran by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in July 2021, where tourists are welcome to visit Thailand by staying 14 days in the allowed province for quarantine, in this case, the pilot area was Phuket. Then they have expanded the program to be a “Phuket Sandbox 7+7 extension” program where tourists can choose to stay in Phuket for 7 days and then another 7 days as their own choice to choose to visit other pilot areas including Krabi, Phang Nga and Koh Samui. Finally, Thailand began welcoming international visitors from 63 low-risk countries to enter without quarantine and allowing the tourists to travel throughout the country. I would say, this is the best time to book a flight to Thailand now or you will regret it later.

Travelling abroad is totally not the same as it used to be. Before booking flight tickets or planning a trip to any of the countries, make sure to check local restrictions, regulations and you should be willing to follow any and all safety rules of that country. If you’re an international traveller who’s coming into Thailand, make sure your country is in the list of 63 low-risk countries that is allowed to entry. Do note, in order to enter the country, you need to show a vaccine passport (fully vaccinated), documents required for entry, Thailand Pass QR code registered, a negative RT-PCR test result at the immigration upon arrival and accommodation booked (if requested). Once you entered, you will be required to retake a RT-PCR test again to confirm the Covid-free status as well. If you tested negative, then you’re good to go!

Planning a trip to Thailand? Here is what you need to know…

As mentioned earlier, international visitors who come from the list of 63 low-risk countries that are fully vaccinated are allowed to enter with no quarantine required. What about visitors who are from country that isn’t on the list? Well, this group of visitors are also welcomed to come but will be limited to travel within the Blue Zone pilot province only.

Talking about Thailand blue zone or the blue zone pilot province, this is basically the expansion of Sandbox areas and the areas where it is opened for tourists to visit. This is to align with Thailand reopening campaign that the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has established it hoping to boost the economy and encourage more domestic travellers and foreign tourists to travel more. Right now, there are total of 17 Thailand Blue Zones including Phuket (Phuket Sandbox), Surat Thani (Samui Plus Sandbox), Krabi (Krabi Sandbox), Phang Nga (Phang Nga Sandbox), Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Chonburi, Ranong, Chiang Mai, Loei, Buriram, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Rayong and Trat.
